Current Obsessions
There are a few things I've been absolutely loving lately so I thought I'd take the time to share them with you.
Number one: Allie Brosh
She is the author of Hyperbole and a Half and some other articles on the interwebs. I've been reading her backposts and such for a while now but in the last couple weeks it seems that's all I've been doing. She is taking up all of my time anymore. For real. She is 90% of the reason I haven't been going to bed until 1 or 2 am because I can't. stop. reading. She is amazing and she just posted that she will be publishing a book next fall. So excited! Check her out:
Number two: DML Podcast
At the Renaissance Festival there is a hilarious act called The London Broil Show. It consists of three guys (Duncan, Matt, Louie) that have been best friends since high school and everything that comes out of their mouths is freaking hilarious. seriously. They started a podcast a few months ago while they were here and they have 7 episodes out now that make me laugh until I cry. They are available on iTunes but I listen to them here:

Getting to Know YOU
It's Sunday and I'm hopping on the bandwagon. If you'd like to participate go to www.mannland5.com and link up!

1. what's your favorite rainy day activity?
Honestly, if it's raining during the day - watching the rain. I live in Arizona so it's like a phenomenon and it usually doesn't last very long. If it is a truly rainy day then I like to sit and read or something quiet so I can listen to it. It usually rains at night so I love falling asleep to the sound too.
2. what time do you go to bed?
Usually anywhere between 10pm and 2am.
3. how many magazines do you subscribe to?
We used to have random free subscriptions all the time when Jesse worked at FYE but now we don't get anything. We get a lot of magazines at work so I just read them there. Usually Entertainment Weekly, People and occasionally Cosmo.
4. did you sell all your belongings because you thought the world was ending yesterday?
hahaha no. I don't even understand what people were trying to gain when they did that...
5. what's your beauty obssesion?
hmm... right now I'm loving my Umberto Blow Dry Lotion and Umberto Dry Clean Dry Shampoo. The first keeps my hair from frizzing (I hardly ever blow dry my hair and I still love it) and the second lets me go an extra day without wet hair. As far as makeup is concerned - mine's permanent so I don't really have to worry about it. I use my Prescriptives foundation and powder every day and that's it. :)
6. if you could only wear one designer/brand for the rest of your life...what would it be?
Well, I'm currently loving the shirts they have at Target now from Stranded. So maybe them? I dunno, I'm so bad with brands.
7. what's your summer must have?
Flip flops! I wear them all the time. Also water (of course that's all the time for me but especially during summer) and air conditioning! It gets hot.
8. do you make weekly dinner menus?
Nope. I've thought about it but what if I don't feel like what I planned that night or whatever. I'm more of a "what do I feel like now" person. If I can decide on dinner before I come home I stop at the grocery store and pick up what I need. Otherwise it's frozen food or easy pantry stuff. Sometimes.

Boo!
Just want to let you know that I am still here and I do mean to get back to blogging again. It's so hard for me to keep up with anything. I really really wanted to do a post the other day and it was going to be so awesome but I was thinking about it while at work - in the morning. Needless to say, by the end of the day when I got home and could finally sit down and type, I lost all motivation. poo. Need to find a way to get around that... I seem to have most of my inspiration hit me in the morning but seeing as I can't get out of bed in the morning I barely have time to get ready let alone eat something or sit and write. Ugh... I wish so badly to be a morning person. Alas, I am and always have been, a night owl. meh.
Looking for inspiration,
Kristi

Quiktrip
Well it's happened. I'm excited and I'm scared. Our world has officially been turned upside down. But in a good way. Something new to get used to. Jesse got the call that we've been waiting for on Monday. He officially works for QT. The company is awesome and has some amazing opportunities. He went in for orientation this morning and starts work Sunday night. Yep that's right, he's working NIGHTS. Starts at 10 and works 'til 7. I'm going to be all alone. I'm so glad I have Bella to make me feel safe. She's vicious. He'll be working 5 nights a week and working days at Broadway Palm. I'm so proud of him. Hopefully we'll be making enough money to start paying down our debt! Yay.
So like Jesse's been singing all night... Hakuna Matata!
PS. Sorry about the multitude of posts today, lets just say I'm making up for the week. ;)
New Phone!
I'm posting from my new HTC EVO Shift! I'm so excited. I wasn't supposed to get my new phone until April, when Jesse is eligible for a new phone. Then I read on blogger the other day that they created an android app and I decided I didn't want to wait any longer! So I convinced Jesse to let me get it early. :) yay. I've had it for less than 24 hours now and I love it.
Anyone else have this phone that wants to teach me something cool about it? Know any good android apps I should download?
