Quiktrip

Well it's happened. I'm excited and I'm scared. Our world has officially been turned upside down. But in a good way. Something new to get used to. Jesse got the call that we've been waiting for on Monday. He officially works for QT. The company is awesome and has some amazing opportunities. He went in for orientation this morning and starts work Sunday night. Yep that's right, he's working NIGHTS. Starts at 10 and works 'til 7. I'm going to be all alone. I'm so glad I have Bella to make me feel safe. She's vicious. He'll be working 5 nights a week and working days at Broadway Palm. I'm so proud of him. Hopefully we'll be making enough money to start paying down our debt! Yay.

So like Jesse's been singing all night... Hakuna Matata!

PS. Sorry about the multitude of posts today, lets just say I'm making up for the week. ;)

New Phone!

I'm posting from my new HTC EVO Shift! I'm so excited. I wasn't supposed to get my new phone until April, when Jesse is eligible for a new phone. Then I read on blogger the other day that they created an android app and I decided I didn't want to wait any longer! So I convinced Jesse to let me get it early. :) yay. I've had it for less than 24 hours now and I love it.

Anyone else have this phone that wants to teach me something cool about it? Know any good android apps I should download?

Rainy Day Sunday

I like today.

Woke up this morning at about 8:30 feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. That in itself is a shocker since I'll usually sleep in 'til 10. We were pretty lazy for about an hour then decided to go out to breakfast. We got ready and headed over to busy busy Village Inn. After we finally got seated it decided to rain. So we got to watch the rain (we were seated right next to a window) while we ate our delicious breakfast (they have really good food, btw).

Then we went to Best Buy to look at the phones and laptops for future purchases and I talked Jesse into letting me get my phone early! I was going to wait until he was eligible for an upgrade in April but I'm eligible now and it's soooo hard. So we went over to the Sprint store in the mall to get it but because of our account I can't just buy straight from the store - it has to be ordered. So I bought it, now just waiting for it to arrive in a couple days! *happy dance*

Then we went over to Target to pick up a bin for Jesse's comic books and went home. We spent some time together then he went to the reptile store on the other side of town to get some rats for the snakes (we have 2 snakes) and I stayed home to start cleaning this place up. I got our table and counter completely cleared off! Not to mention slightly decorated. Finally.

We then ordered Papa John's pizza and breadsticks for dinner (nom nom nom) and watched some Big Bang Theory (we're almost done with season 3!). Then I got to watch Amazing Race (yay) and Jesse watched Californication. Did a little more organizing and some facebook. Now it's time for bed! We planned to go see a movie somewhere in there but that didn't happen... so hopefully tomorrow. :)

And so it begins...

I've wanted a proper blog for a while now and I've finally started it! I'm so excited, filled with so many ideas and thoughts and creativity to share with you all. I finally have my place to write about what I want, to share the things that make me happy and to discover who I really am. I'm still looking to find my place in this world and I feel like I'm getting closer every day. Any closer to my fantasy life? Maybe not. But closer to the life I know I'm going to love to live. I can feel it.

A brief look at me:
My name is Kristi Jenkins. I'm 21 years old. I've been married to the love of my life, Jesse, for almost 2 1/2 years now. We have a furry little child named Bellatrix (Bella or Boobers more often) - she is a 1 year old black lab and the cutest, sweetest, most precious thing ever. I work for my parents answering phones as I have for the past 4 years. Jesse is in between jobs but the prospects are looking quite promising. There is so much to learn about me that I will post in greater detail in the future. I still have things to learn about myself. Stay tuned.
